FAQs
What information do you need to provide a quote?
We typically require box style, dimensions, quantity, artwork (if available, .svg preferred), desired lead time to prepare an accurate quote. A price target is always helpful as well.
What types of boxes can be digitally printed?
Digital printing is commonly used on corrugated shipping boxes, mailers/folding cartons, retail and display boxes, custom inserts or dividers.
Can you help with artwork or file preparation?
Yes. We can review artwork for print readiness and assist with adjustments as needed to ensure optimal results.
What quantities are best suited for digital printing?
Digital printing is well suited for short to medium production runs, especially when flexibility or frequent design changes are required.
What are typical lead times?
Lead times vary depending on box style, quantity, and production requirements. It also depends heavily on the current queue, but typically 10-12 business days is a good guess. Timing is confirmed as part of the quoting process.
How does digital printing compare to litho?
Faster turnaround (1-2 weeks vs. 3-6); smaller MOQs; multiple versions per run; edits and changes are easy.
Are there downsides to digital printing?
There can be. Large solid areas or gradients can see some banding, but we do our best to mitigate that. The unit cost for digital printing at high volumes may not compete with litho printing. Digital printing is ideal for runs under 5000 units where speed and variation matter most.
